Bone Tearing Through Gum

Ascoli Piceno - SS Simon and Jude

Return, O Lord our God

full of news and the nativity scene this year. Born from the need to always do it all over again (what could be a limit, namely the need to dismantle the whole year and it does not have long lead times for new construction, it becomes a stimulus for creativity) and the imagination of the eager to experiment with new solutions while remaining faithful still classic and traditional setting.
First, the unusual location: the place is, as always, but near the entrance to the center, occupying half of the nave and immediately attracted the attention of those who enter the church. Then can the viewer to walk around, observe it closely and to be able to appreciate details from various angles. The attention to detail was one of the things that the group of authors, enriched by new year very valid friends, has devoted more attention and has produced the best results, appreciated by all. Finally, the presence of several characters in motion contributes to the realization that the whole dynamic, given the location, had to do without the more complex play of light that characterized the previous editions. Overall a crib more natural, closer to the observer, the most immediate perception and reading signs.

The Nativity is located at the center, on a mountain, indicated by an angel and highlighted by a bright light that reveals immediately and continues over a landscape of twilight, the primary concern not only of the crib but the entire human history. There is no need of the comet, because Jesus is the Light of the world, the North Star of humanity. And 'he really ripped through the skies accept the plea and down among us to be God with us. And 'he who placed higher as later will be on the cross, can be seen by everyone and can draw all to himself.
Below and on the slopes of the mountain life takes place, our life, with all its adjectives: regular, daily, tiring, busy, monotonous, sometimes mild and sometimes nervous and joyful and dramatic. The houses (really good) are those of the past, but remember the houses where they live our families, where we love, we grow, we rejoice and suffer. The characters are a cross section of humanity of all times: some of the prisoners and nearly surrounded by their occupations, more distracted and unenthusiastic, and others indifferent or resigned, without ideals and unable to look up towards the light of hope. Others have gone on the path that eventually leads to the top of the mountain and the hut where a woman, a man and a child are waiting.
It 's a path certainly challenging, long, uphill, because you can not think of growing up and finding true joy, the sense of one's life without a little' commitment and a bit 'hard work, but those characters are full of trust and hope and maybe a thousand difficulties do not stop: go forward to being enveloped by the light and heat from that love came to earth just for them and for all.
Why, after all, this is the meaning of the crib, the crib of every small or large, simple or elaborate (but still nice): He who comes to meet, welcome the One who welcomes us as we are to entrust their lives to Him we gave her, to love the love that saved us.
