The crib is located at the entrance to the crypt below the church. E 'was designed and built by Vincenzo Galotto with the collaboration of Luigi Leoni. The artist I wanted to represent multi-storey Palestine. Starting at the bottom can see the Galilee and its lake of Tiberias, with the lighthouse and many villages around. Then the Samaria and Judea and Jerusalem in particular with the various houses, the square with a fountain in the center and around the town, sheep, camels, horses and goats.
In the foreground is a hut with Bethlehem to welcome the Saviour. The materials used are polystyrene and plasterboard. A special feature is that the limited use of moss, because most of the crib is made of rock, paper of various colors.
Note the gradual transition from day to night, which produces a very particular, especially from power due to the various distributed Lucette inside the crib.
There are characters in motion, flowing water and music in the background but everything is according to Jesus, the Word made flesh that comes to dwell in our hearts.
The crib can be visited during the opening hours of church on Sundays in the morning from 8 am to 12 noon and weekdays in the afternoon from 16 to 18
